RE: Availability of H1N1 vaccine
The Marshfield Board of Health has a limited supply of H1N1 vaccine that we are making available to Marshfield residents who are pregnant women, one of the initial target groups identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for vaccine treatment. This group has been identified as a population at higher risk of hospitalization after becoming ill with the H1N1 virus.
The Board of Health, in association with Partners Health Care, is able to administer the vaccine by appointment only at the Board of Health office to pregnant women who carry a note from their Physician that they are pregnant and able to receive the vaccine.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 781 834-5558 during business hours 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. All messages left will be answered as soon as possible.
The Board of Health will offer the vaccine to other target groups for the vaccine as more of a supply becomes available.
