Extended Day Program
Licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care
WHO: Students in grades K - 5 at the Gov. Winslow and Martinson Elementary Schools. Students who attend the Daniel Webster, and South River Schools, are transported to our child care center, located at 14 Library Plaza. Eames Way students attend the program at the Martinson School
WHEN: School Year (September 2007 - June 2008) from the first day of school unitl the last full day of school.
WHERE: 14 Library Plaza, Child Care Center (next to the Ventress Memorial Library) Look for the sign in the window. This site is for students who attend the Daniel Webster and South River Schools. On site locations are located at The Gov. Winslow, and Martinson Elementary schools.
FEE: 2008-09 School Year Monthly Fees are as follows:
2 Days ($222.00), 3 Days ($233.00), 4 Days ($253.00), 5 Days ($270.00)
Registration:
Pre registration for the 2008 - 09 school year begins on Monday, June 2. The brochure is available at the recreation child care center, elementary and middle schools, Town Hall, Ventress Memorial Library and Denny's Barber Shop. Look for the brochure on the web page Wednesday, May 21. You may mail in the completed registration form along with the $30.00 reg. fee. If you include your email address we will email you a confirmation.
Wait List: When a site is full we then start a wait list. The Wait List is kept active until May. When we register for the following year we toss the old wait list and start a new one.
The Program:
The program operates during the school year, (including early release days) from the first day of school until the last full day, until 6:00pm. Separate February and April School vacation programs are offered for an additional fee, and based on demand. Vacation programs are held at our child care center, with min. and max. program size.
Activities:
After School Child Program activities: Students assist with chores, prepare snack, and participate in computers, arts and crafts, sports, group games, free play, homework room, reading, and special events. Program offers both indoor and outdoor play time. Daily activities may vary at each site.
Transportation:
Transportation is provided from school to our child care site by Marshfield Public School bus. At the Gov. Winslow, and Martinson sites, students will walk to the cafe at the end of the school day.
